Making a Mark
with Lyon & Turnbull & GSA
Having made its debut at London Design Festival in September, ‘Making a Mark’ will run until the 10th October 2025 at the Lyon & Turnbull Glasgow Showroom on Bath Street.
The exhibition, hosted by Lyon & Turnbull celebrates the remarkable collection that Dr. Helen Cargill Thompson amassed and generously bequeathed to The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) in 2020.
Recognised for her contributions to academia as well as the art world, Helen’s collection dates from 1985 - 2019 and includes a wide selection of work by GSA undergraduate and post graduate students.
Helen purchased my Textured sterling silver bowl, that was created as part of my Degree Show ‘Trio of Sterling Silver Bowls’. It was lovely to have met her in person and had the chance to have a conversation with her when she did.

I am delighted to be be returning to exhibit with Incorporation of Goldsmiths and Lyon & Turnbull at their annual showcase of jewellery, silver and gold, Elements Festival. After having such an enjoyable experience at the showcase last year, I was saddened to think that due to obvious reasons the show would face difficulties this year. However, I am pleased to say Elements will be going ahead from the 6th - 8th of November in an all new digital format!
You can also find more details of the show, information on makers and more on their website, and read my personal interview with Elements for their ‘Maker Profile’ Series on their blog!
