Aillie Anderson is an award-winning Silversmith and Jeweller whose work draws inspiration from the built environment of her hometown, Glasgow, particularly the architecture and industrial structures of the city. Her work aims to highlight appreciation of these often overlooked urban details, and focuses on a combination of distinctively textured and scored sterling silver alongside hand cast jesmonite dyed to appear almost as concrete, and creating a divergence in material quality, surface texture and weight. Aillie’s work also examines and redefines the scale of these structures, by reinterpreting them and the viewing perspective, into visually stimulating, precious pieces of adornment and silverware.

Aillie graduated from the Glasgow School of Art’s Silversmithing and Jewellery department in 2017, and went on to win a Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Award in 2018.
